Striped Midi Skirt

Today’s post is another personal fashion experiment: I’m testing out a striped midi skirt. It may not seem risky to a lot of people, but I’ve always been nervous about midi skirts. I thought the length would be really awkward on me because I have skinny calves. I also didn’t want to look like a Kim K wannabe.

So I did the opposite of what Kim would have done (in my mind): I chose a skirt with thick, bold stripes and paired it with combat boots, a strappy crop top and a choker. Sorry to any Kardashian lovers, but I’m just not a fan. I read an article on Man Repeller a while ago comparing the Kardashians to bandaids (because they love wearing skintight nude things) and that’s how I see them now.

I’m surprisingly happy with the result! The silhouette makes my legs look super long, thanks to the high waist and slim fit. So if you’re also a petite girl who’s been afraid of the midi skirt – don’t be! If there’s one out there for me, there’s one out there for you. Just pair it with some old favourites to make it your own.

Thanks for reading! Do you own anything that you originally thought would look terrible on you?

It`s really really lovely! I didn’t know that midi skirts could show that nice! The item i didn’t think would look good on me was a red dress( simple not formal). But it did! I think I will try the midi! Kisses!

I think the choice of a bold stripe for your midi skirt was absolutely perfect. The look really stands out and my eye is immediately drawn to your skirt! And I agree, it really lengthens. 🙂 Also, LOL at the bandaids thing. Now I’m gonna see them the same way!
