I saved the beachiest for the last part of photos from my Mexico trip (see part 1 & part 2). These silver denim shorts were another lucky sale find (only $10! Topshop’s end of season sale is amazing), and I wore them every day when I was there.
They’re actually the first pair of denim shorts I’ve bought in a long time. Even though I wear jeans almost daily, I’m not really a classic denim person. I own 8 pairs of jeans and only 3 are blue (and one is so pale I don’t think it counts).
I like jeans more for the fit than the fabric. Denim shirts and jackets aren’t really my thing. But I’m a sucker for embellished or decorated jeans. I love the messy silver paint on these shorts. It does make them stiff but they’re so cool I don’t mind.
I can never 100% agree with those ‘essential pieces every woman should have in their wardrobe’ articles. They always include things that aren’t me like plain white button downs, camel coats, and plain denim shorts. And that’s fine. How boring would it be if we actually did all own the same items?
Oh, and since this is the last Mexico post I have to say what a beautiful place! I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I hope I can visit again soon. Just staying at an all inclusive meant I barely scratched the surface. There’s so much I didn’t see, like the cenotes, the pyramids and the colourful cities. I also didn’t eat a proper taco (I had a dessert one) – definitely need to fix that. Have you been to Mexico?
