Have you ever taken that ‘what season are you’ test to find out what colours you should wear?
I’m an autumn, meaning I should wear earthy tones like olive and mustard. Of course, I’ve never paid any attention to this. But I decided to give an autumn colour a shot with this olive suede halter top from Zaful. Joining me is the gorgeous Elisa from Elisa Anastasia, who has also styled an olive halter top with a black skirt. Elisa is a Swedish fashion and lifestyle blogger who also makes her own clothes sometimes! Definitely check her blog out if you’re a fan of fashion, travel and DIY.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with suede (see my dress & jacket). It’s a fabric I never really wore before because I was afraid it would get ruined on one of my city’s many rainy days. I’ve realized there are more than enough dry days to wear this lush, soft fabric. I’m like a kid going crazy in a candy shop because they’re never allowed to eat sweets at home.
And the olive? I think it actually does look really good on me. It’s nice change from black and white. I’ve never realized what a chic colour it really is. It looks elegant even with my dirty Chucks (they’re a lot less white IRL but I wouldn’t have them any other way).
Lately I’ve been trying to push myself to step outside of my comfort zone, and something as simple as wearing a new colour can really make a difference. It’s a baby step, but it will give you confidence. If you can wear something you’ve been afraid to wear before, you can do so much more.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the outfits from myself and Elisa!
