All of my jewelry is slowly becoming wooden. I love it because it’s super lightweight, I don’t have to worry about it tarnishing, and it has that cool, earthy feel. Naturally when Ben from JORD watches asked me if I wanted to test out one of their wooden watches, I said yes. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of alternative jewelry (made of wood, plastic, etc) and I really love this interesting new direction in the world of accessories.
I actually haven’t worn a watch in years. I have a metal one with a dead battery that I never replaced lying around somewhere. I figured I always had my phone with me to check the time, so replacing the battery wasn’t a priority. But I’ve missed wearing a watch. It’s so much faster and more convenient to look at your wrist than to pull your phone out.
Another reason I’ve been enjoying my JORD Frankie watch is that it was custom made to fit my wrist! It’s a service they offer for every watch. This is huge if you have small wrists like me. I don’t mind wearing bracelets that are a bit big but watches need to be fitted – nothing more annoying than trying to check the time with a watch that’s dangling on the other side of your wrist.
Today’s look is quite practical. I’m also wearing a romper, which is another thing I haven’t worn in a few years. It used to annoy me how much effort it took to go to the bathroom in them (I tend to pee a lot), but I’ve missed them because it’s like wearing a dress and shorts at the same time. I also threw on my lace-up sandals and leather jacket because it was a bit chilly.
