How To Make Faux Fur Casual

Happy Monday!

This week that saying “a weekend well spent brings a week of content” really applies to me.

I know it should be Sunday, but on Saturday it was warm enough for my boyfriend and I to go on our first long walk of the year. We walked all around Stanley Park, my city’s biggest park that is right at the waterfront. I’ve been there a million times, but it’s one of those places I never get tired of – the views are so beautiful. I missed walking around for hours until my feet hurt.

Anyway, today’s outfit is about making faux fur casual, or at least as casual as one of the most glamorous materials can be. I love the idea of wearing it with your typical laid-back pieces: a plain t-shirt or sweater, jeans, sneakers, and a beanie. Especially a beanie. I chose grey jeans instead of a more predictable blue, because I liked the idea of a white/grey/black outfit, since I wanted to wear my black Converse.

Unlike this past weekend, these photos were taken during the second cold snap of the winter. I already talked about my warmest winter jacket, but this faux fur jacket is seriously a close contender. Faux fur is definitely the best way to look chic and stay warm – sorry, puffy coats!

Thanks for reading and I’d love to know your favourite way of wearing faux fur. X

Cool ‘n chic look, I love how the coat adds a nice touch of glam. And that beanie looks great on you! I’m happy things are warming up there – over here I was completely surprised by the weather (when I went out for a run): it was a whopping 17 degrees Celsius, a new all-time high for this particular day. So far it’s been a very mild winter, hopefully it stays that way until spring!

Thanks Izzy! Oh wow I’m jealous, here it was maybe 10? It seemed so warm after a few cold snaps though. I can’t wait for it to be 17 again! xx

Love the casual feel! I’m not a big fan of wearing heels on cold days since I like to walk extra fast when it’s really chilly out, so keeping things casual is definitely a priority of mine. I totally agree about faux furs being perfectly cozy for cold snaps! I wore mine the other day and wondered why I didn’t do it sooner.

Thanks! I barely wear heels anymore unless I’m going out/know I won’t have to walk much, unless they’re a short block heel, I also like to walk fast 🙂 it’s funny because I used to always wear heels to look taller, but since I got a tall boyfriend he complained that I walk too slow in heels so I switched to mainly flats haha.
