All Pastel Everything: Watercolour Blouse & Pale Denim

As you’re reading this, I’m exploring the streets of New York! I imagine that I’m having a great time eating those giant pizza slices and taking tons of photos. In the mean time, here are some photos we took after I got my hair done last weekend back home in Vancouver. What do you think of the new colour?

One of the hardest things for me as a blogger is sticking to a colour scheme. I know it’s blogging 101 but I can’t help it. I guess I’m too fickle/all over the place. Sometimes I want to wear allΒ black/leather/studs, sometimes I want to be bold in red, and sometimes I want to wear all pastel everything. Like this watercolour blouse & pale denim. It just comes down to my mood.

Part of me envies those bloggers with the perfect feeds (you know the ones). But part of me says whatever. Ok, I have been trying to stick to a blue/purple/pink theme, but I can’t stop strategically injecting other colours. I can’t imagine not buying an item of clothing I like or not taking a picture somewhere cool because the colour doesn’t fit with my feed. I like switching it up!

This blouse is probably the most feminine thing I own, and even though I’ve had it for a few years now I’m still so in love with it. It’s just my kind of feminine. Some girls like ruffles and florals. I like interesting prints, soft colours, and cut-outs. And I can always count on my Chucks to tone things down.

I love that top it’s really unique and I agree that I couldn’t imagine not buying an item simply because it doesn’t fit an image/feed I’m going for. Sometimes I think perfecting feeds can be taken a bit too seriously. We have to live our lives freely y’know and not be chained to an aesthetic.

Thanks! I’ve never been able to find similar tops ever since I got it so I’m still super in love with it. Yeah, I don’t like restricting myself but I’d like to think all my items fit in a similar aesthetic even if they are different from each other.

These photos are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! the background totally vibes with your hair, your outfit–everything! Your hair first of all– is beautiful! I love this pink color on you, second– I love this shirt, and the pastels! basically I really like this photoshoot.

Thank youuu! I originally wanted to do a street style shoot to focus on the print, but since it was so nice out we decided to go to Stanley Park instead. I’m glad we did, I love all the blueness πŸ™‚

Everything about the outfit and the hair screams ‘envy me!’ I love it all!

I agree that the struggle is real when it comes to sticking to a colour scheme, but I think you are doing great!

Aw thanks Thanh! I bet it’s extra hard for a colour-lover like yourself.

Oooh your watercolor top looks soo pretty and I think it complements well with your baby blue jeans. Such a perfect casual spring outfit.

Thanks Atsuna! It was almost too warm for jeans so I’m glad I got to wear it at least once this season.

That is really the most feminine shirt. I like it very much!!! Have a nice time in this wonderful city. Kisses!

So loving your hair color! <3
And yep, that aesthetic struggle is real!
But I ended up giving it up and chose to celebrate life by freeing myself to spontaneously upload pictures without even thinking how it would effect the feed.
Well, the progress of getting rid of the aesthetic ego is just still 70%, while tbh the other 30% of me is still craving for the aesthetic. But well… being aesthetic is such a pain in the *ss sometimes!

Looking forward for your next post,

Thank you! I do try to plan it out but I can’t strictly stick to only a few colours like some people do. I figure if there’s a touch of blue and the photos are edited in a similar style it’s good enough lol.

you look so cute smiling πŸ˜€
love the rainbow colours on you. so happy to look at.
I really envy those uni colour IG accounts too…. I don’t know how they manage to be so patient about it… and by having an account with all similar colours and photos… you can easily post just sky or sea or leaves photos and still look very beautiful all together as an account…life seems so much better they way they do it. πŸ˜› I tried but I just can’t… I change my mind and filter all the time… and I do not know why the sky photo is worth posting in my account… even though I am fine and actually happy to look at them in other people’s accounts… strange…

Thank you! The outfit made me feel happy.
I do and I don’t. Yeah their feeds look so nice but I feel like it’s so restricting. Like what if my feed was monochrome but I came across something really pretty and colourful? I wouldn’t be able to share it and that sucks.
